Ken Weber

President

Ken Weber is passionate about helping clients avoid costly financial mistakes. And that passion seeps into every aspect of Weber Asset Management.

Unlike most in this industry, Ken started his business as a hobby; he had been fascinated by the world of investing since he was a teenager.  So, in the early 1980’s he began publishing Weber’s Fund Advisor and that grew to become a highly-regarded newsletter.  At a time when most mutual funds were charging hefty fees, Ken knew there was a better way, and so he became a pioneer in the world of no-load mutual funds.

In 1989 Ken contacted his main competitor, Jack Bowers, the editor of Fidelity Monitor, about combining their fund expertise. Jack saw the value of the partnership and Weber Asset Management was born.

Ken is a New York native who earned his BA degree from Hofstra University, and his MS degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He is a founding member of Fidelity Investments’ RIA Advisor Council, and he is a member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers. His investment advice has been quoted in most major financial publications, including Barron’s, Money, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Ken is the author of Dear Investor, What the HELL are You Doing? Smart and Easy Ways to Fix the Mistakes You Make with Your Money. Published in 2015, the book is a distillation of Ken’s conversations with thousands of investors.

Ken and his family, including four grandchildren, all live on Long Island, just outside of New York City. At one point in his life Ken was a professional magician and mentalist. These days in his spare time he mentors young performers, helping them succeed as both artists and business people.
